Frank D. Moates Elementary School is a public school in Glenn Heights, Texas (USA). It is part of the DeSoto Independent School District.
Located at 1500 Heritage Boulevard, the school serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through five that reside in south central DeSoto and most areas of Glenn Heights that lie within the district.
Named after Frank Don Moates, a former DeSoto ISD superintendent, the school opened on September 1, 1988.

As of the 2005-2006 school year, Moates had a total of 707 students (42.1% African American, 12.7% White, 43.6% Hispanic, 0.8% Asian, and 0.7% Native American).
Based on the accountability ratings released by the Texas Education Agency on August 1, 2006, Moates Elementary is currently rated "Academically Acceptable".
Most Moates students attend McCowan Middle School. Students attending Moates who live north of Parkerville Road are zoned to DeSoto West Middle School.[1]
In the 2005-2006 school year, DeSoto ISD began a mandatory school uniform policy at all of its schools.
